History/Origin |
Named after Ross Ibbotsen Dalton Mallam who first came to the Territory in 1910. He set up a legal practice in Darwin and in 1928 was appointed Judge of the Northern Territory. He held the post for five years before returning to Adelaide where he died unmarried in 1954. |
