History/Origin |
Named after Pastor Ernest (Erny) Eugene Kramer a migrant, who arrived in Australia in 1911 and built the first church in Alice Springs in the 1920s. He held Lots 13-16 in Alice Springs in the 1920s. Kramer, who was a member of the Aboriginal Friends Association, operated a mission in the Hermannsburg area. He also accompanied Pastor Albrecht on a missionary expedition from Hermannsburg in 1931 in an attempt to learn more of the Aranda language. |
