| History/Origin |
Named after the Hang Gong family - in particular Sarah Hang Gong and Jane Elizabeth Tye nee Hang Gong (1869-34), the wife and daughter respectively of Lee Hang Gong. Both women were very skilled midwives and were credited with saving the lives of many infants.
