History/Origin |
Named after Daniel Dominick Daly (the nephew of the Governor of South Australia, Sir Dominick Daly) who was a surveyor with G G McLachlan's No. 6 Party with Goyder's Expedition of 1869. Mr Daly afterwards married Harriet Douglas, the daughter of Captain Douglas, who was the first officially appointed Government Resident at old Palmerston (Darwin). |
