The Bynoe Harbour, locality derives its name from Bynoe Harbour which together with Port Patterson make up the locality. Bynoe Harbour was named in 1839 by Capt J C Wickham after Benjamin Bynoe, Surgeon on the HMS Beagle during Wickham & Stokes? maritime survey of the area. |
