History/Origin | Lloyd Creek is one of two creeks in the area which were named by Fred Litchfield in the Finniss Party in 1865 and later incorporated in the Goyder surveys of the Hundreds in 1869. Litchfield named the creek found on 1 June 1865 after John Vereker Lloyd who came up to Escape Cliffs on the "Bengal" in 1865 and joined Litchfield in exploring the area south and south west of Palmerston to what was to be called the Litchfield Park. |
