History/Origin |
Named after Henry Langton, a convict who acted as a Clerk and was the overseer of convicts at Fort Wellington. He well liked by the local Aboriginals. He left Raffles Bay with Comm. Barker on the "Amity" for King George Sound, WA, in 1831. |
