| History/Origin |
Named after Dino Bilato who came to the Northern Territory as an Italian migrant in1954 and worked at Rum Jungle. After purchasing a truck in 1956 he put it to work assisting in the building of Fogg Dam near Darwin. Dino Bilato was later contracted to Darwin company, North Australian Haulage, carting between Darwin and Rum Jungle as well as road building tasks across the Northern Territory. He passed away in 1988. |
