| History/Origin | This Katherine suburb takes its name from the RAAF Base Tindal which was originally established during World War ll, and named by the Allies after Wing Commander AR Tindal, Commanding Officer of 24 Squadron who was killed in action defending Darwin on 19 February 1942. The suburb boundary, as approved on 8 March 2007, is deliniated on CP 5078. |
