History/Origin |
This Hundred was named after the Aboriginal tribe in the Daly River area, the Berinka or, as more recently spelt, the "Brinkin" people. The Hundred of Berinka is one of the two Hundreds in the County of Malmesbury - the other being the Hundred of Hawkshaw, being gazetted in July 1885 and both extended in October 1913 in the Daly River District. |
