History/Origin This feature was originally named by George McLachlan in 1870 on an exploration from Palmerston to Katherine after Paul Foelsche, Inspector of Police 1870-1914. The feature was later included in L A Wells Pine Creek - Wave Hill Triangulation survey (1906-08).
