Named after Shirley Miles (Senior) a railway ganger who took up Agricultural Lease 121 in April 1923. The road runs through the land that he leased. Little is known about Shirley Miles (Senior) other than he was the first Agricultural Leasee in the area. He died on 24 May 1926. |
