History/Origin |
Named after William Cecil Burton who was born near Winton in Qld Springs and worked as a projectionist with a travelling picture show. He later set up his own permanent theatre in Tennant Creek in the late 1930's known as the Pioneer Theatre Show and was the proprietor until his death in November 1968. |
