History/Origin |
Harold Garner completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Diploma in Agriculture. He became a broadcast technician with the Post Master General after completing his studies in electronics and was a radio operator during the war. Mr Garner has ties with the Berrimah Farm site and the radio operations room (that still has remnants on Berrimah Farm). In 1969 Harold was awarded an MBE in recognition of his long and outstanding contribution to the Northern Territory and in 1977 was also awarded with the Queen's Jubilee Medal. |
