History/Origin Named after Beecher Noel Webb, who was one of the first legal practitioners in Alice Springs, practising there between 1932 and 1937. He persuaded Thomas Wells, a Supreme Court Judge of the Northern Territory, to conduct the first circuit there in 1935. He died during WWII.
