History/Origin |
Named after Allan Burrows who came to the Northern Territory in 1937 with his friend, Jack Litchfield. His first job was working on the Stuart Highway before it was constructed on the Barrow Creek section. He then prospected at Tennant Creek and in 1941 was seriously injured in a cave-in at the Eldorado Mine. |
