History/Origin | Named after John Whyte who came to Darwin in 1980 with one dream, to drive the "big roadtrains" of Australia. This he realised, driving first for Ascots, delivering Malanda milk from Townsville back through the Territory, down to Alice Springs, and back up the "Track" to Darwin. He delivered fuel too many of the communities and stations in the Northern Territory and also to the mines. |
