History/Origin |
Named after Phillip Lefevre, who was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 1976. He was employed as a Parliamentary Counsel in the Department of Law until 1978, when he joined the Office of the Ombudsman as a Principal Investigations Officer. In November 1980, he returned to the Department of Law and held office variously as the Deputy Master of the Court and Registrar-General. He was appointed Master of the Court in 1985. |
