Named after Eric Wesley Wedding, a plumber and fire fighter in Darwin. Before Cyclone Tracy, Eric did voluntary plumbing work for St Paul's Catholic Church in Millner. After Cyclone Tracy, Eric evacuated Darwin with his family. Eric returned to Darwin not long after the cyclone when the need for tradesmen to rebuild houses became apparent and continued as a plumber until late 1990. |
