Named after Justice Sir Percy Joske, who was appointed to the Supreme Court Northern Territory in 1961. He was a prolific writer on a wide range of legal subjects, and was knighted in 1977 and died in 1981. He enjoyed a reputation as an unfailingly courteous judicial officer. |
