Named after Aaron Downes who was an integral member of the family company Downes Graderways, as an operator, planner and supervisor. Downes Graderways was formed some 40 years ago in Katherine as a civil works company and has built and maintained roads in all parts of the NT. Aaron passed away in a motor vehicle accident in 2003. |
