| History/Origin | Named after the main feature within the Reserve's boundary. Reserve comprises NT Portion 6621. The Reserve was originally proclaimed a reserve ( No. 1064) and named Devils Marbles Reserve in October 1961 under the Crown Lands Ordinance. In September 1979, the Devils Marbles Reserve name was revoked and the name Devil's Marbles Conservation Reserve was assigned under the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act. The Reserve was redelcared in 2009 and 2011 under the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act. In 2011 the Reserve was assigned the name "Karlu Karlu / Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve". Karlu Karlu is the local indigenous name for the feature and area. |
