History/Origin |
Named in commemoration of Tarcisius Thardim (1938-1996), a Marringarr Aboriginal man, born at Port Keats and who in his teenage years worked on Legune, Meneling and Auvergne cattle stations. After spending a long time away from his family, he moved back to Port Keats where he worked as a carpenter, and married Therese Narjic. They were both killed in a car accident at Berrimah in 1996. |
