History/Origin	Named after Norman Buley, an engineer who led a Government Prospecting Party to examine areas drained by the Katherine, Fitzmaurice and Daly Rivers in 1920. He examined then Tolmer plateau arising from the TABLETOP RANGE. The area was originally explored by Fred Litchfield in 1865, then David Lindsay in 1883 and again by AJ Lane who carried out a Topographical survey of the escarpement in 1916. It is believed the rock hole should be pronounced "Bew-lee".
