Description
This spatial polygon dataset displays the footprint location for each map product created by this department. This index provides access to download map products as a PDF.
Each record in the index dataset contains details for the map including;
- link to download the map as a PDF
- map name, map description, coverage location area and date created
- link to the project metadata record
All map products can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF via NR Maps. nrmaps.nt.gov.au/nrmaps.html

- Select a feature on the map screen in your area of interest or;
- Use the search panel to enter details and filter the records.
- Review map details in the data panel (below the map screen) to download a map product (PDF).

Data Quality
Lineage:The spatial data polygons are managed in the department's Map Products Delivery System (MPDS) and stored in an Oracle database. The individual map products are created by this department and stored in MPDS as a PDF. Each map product is linked to the spatial data polygon representing the coverage area.
Positional Accuracy:The map footprint (spatial polygon) represents a generalised location for each mapping project area. There may be several map products assigned to the same mapping project area.
Attribute Accuracy:Each record in this dataset contains attributes described in the Data Dictionary in this metadata record.
Logical Consistency:Polygons representing the map footprint area will overlap.
Completeness:This Map products are regularly created by this department and associated records added to this compilation.

Coverage area A generalised location area depicting the footprint of the map project. The area is indicative only. 05. PDF date The date that the PDF map product was created. 07. Metadata A web-link to the metadata record for the mapping project. 08. Themes Each map product is categorised using one or more themes. eg. Groundwater, Flooding, Water Management. 09. ID A unique identifier for each map product.
